Dmytro LAVROVSKYI
Dmytro Lavrovskyi was born in the city of Cēsis, Latvia. Later, he moved to Ukraine. He worked as a 4th-grade locksmith in the repair wagon depot in Koziatyn, part of the regional branch of the "South-Western Railway."
On December 28, 2022, Dmytro was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the self-propelled artillery platoon of the 2nd self-propelled artillery battery of the self-propelled artillery division.
During combat operations in the village of Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region, he sustained a closed blunt trauma to the torso with damage to internal organs. Unfortunately, he could not be saved.
Soldier Dmytro Lavrovskyi died from his injuries on June 20, 2024. He was 34 years old.
"He had a strong motivation to defend his country, as this was his home and where his dearest ones—his mother and children—were," noted the mayor of Koziatyn, Tetiana Yermolaieva.
Colleagues will remember Dmytro as a very responsible, hardworking, friendly, and communicative person, a loving son and father.
At home, Dmytro was awaited by his mother and four minor children—three sons and a daughter.
The team at the Koziatyn repair wagon depot deeply mourns this irreparable loss and expresses sincere condolences to the mother, children, family, and loved ones of soldier Dmytro Lavrovskyi. He had a strong motivation to protect his home and his loved ones. We will always remember him as a responsible colleague, a loving father, and a brave warrior. May his memory be bright and eternal!
