Dmytro SHRAMKO
Dmytro was born and lived in the city of Apostolove. He worked as a track layer of the 4th category in the Apostolivska track division. His colleagues valued him for his responsibility, often entrusting him with the duties of a foreman.
On March 31, 2022, Dmytro was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine, where he served as a sniper. His sister Kateryna recounts Dmytro's unwavering determination: he achieved mobilization despite the military enlistment office's refusal due to health reasons, waiting for two days on the steps of the institution.
Dmytro was very family-oriented, had "golden hands," and worked for the well-being of his children. He was sociable, but his strong sense of justice often compelled him to defend the wronged fiercely.
35-year-old Dmytro Shramko was killed on August 7, 2022, while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Ivano-Daryivka in the Donetsk region.
Dmytro is survived by his mother, son Kyrylo, and daughter Yeva.
The team at the Apostolivska track division of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" remembers their colleague with unwavering respect. His defense of honor and desire to secure a future for his children through his own sacrifice is the legacy of a brave Ukrainian. Eternal glory!
