Hennadiy Semenikhin
Hennadiy was born in the village of Borshchi, Odesa region, where he lived with his family. He began his career on the railway in 2001 and dedicated 20 years of his life to it. He worked as a 6th-grade repair mechanic in the maintenance shop at the Podilsk Locomotive Depot.
Colleagues remember him as a diligent, responsible, skilled worker, and a reliable friend who always shared his experience with younger employees.
On April 22, 2022, Hennadiy was mobilized and spent 1 year defending his homeland.
Hennadiy died while defending the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine during a combat mission on January 27, 2023.
He is survived by his wife and two adult children.
The team at the Podilsk Locomotive Depot of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" deeply mourns and honors the memory of Hennadiy. A qualified repair mechanic and a reliable mentor who dedicated 20 years to the railway, he fell as a Hero while defending Ukraine's sovereignty. Eternal memory and respect to our colleague and hero!
