Ihor Brynzanskyi
Ihor was born in the village of Oselivka in the Chernivtsi region and lived in Uzhhorod. Before the war, he worked as a track master for the Uzhhorod railway division. Later, he decided to enlist for military service under contract to defend his homeland and his large family. As part of the mountain assault unit of the 128th Separate Mountain Infantry Brigade, Ihor fought against the occupiers on the eastern front alongside his comrades.
Junior Sergeant Ihor Brynzanskyi did not live to see his 45th birthday by just a few days. On June 5, 2022, during another fierce clash with the enemy near the settlement of Yakovlivka in Donetsk region, Ihor was mortally wounded.
Ihor Brynzanskyi became a full cavalier of the Order of "For Courage," having received the first, second, and third degrees of the order. Additionally, for his fidelity to civic duty, the railway soldier was posthumously awarded the title of "Honorary Citizen of the City of Uzhhorod."
Ihor is survived by his wife, son, two daughters, mother, two brothers, and a sister.
The team at the Uzhhorod railway division of the regional branch "Lviv Railway" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" bows its head in memory of their colleague. This track master became a mountain stormtrooper, consciously stepping up to defend his large family. His heroic death in Donetsk and his full cavalier status of the Order of "For Courage" represent the highest manifestation of military valor for a railway worker. Eternal glory to the Honorary Citizen of Uzhhorod!
