Ilya KORZHAN
Ilya lived in the village of Mykhalchа in the Chernivtsi region. In 2020, he graduated from the lyceum with a specialty in electric gas welding. In May of that year, he began working as a 4th category electric gas welder at the Chernivtsi track machine station for earthworks repair. By June, he was called up for compulsory military service.
21-year-old Ilya Korzhan died while performing his official duties on September 9, 2022, as a result of a traffic accident in the Shepetivka district of the Khmelnytskyi region.
Ilya was a diligent and conscientious worker as well as a brave soldier. He always led the way on combat missions and skillfully applied his acquired military skills.
The deceased is survived by his parents and sister.
The team at the Chernivtsi track machine station of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" mourns the loss of their young colleague with profound sorrow. The electric gas welder, who was a dedicated worker and courageous soldier, tragically lost his life. His short but honorable life and readiness to defend will forever be our pain.
