Ivan PONZEL

Ivan was born in the village of Volovec in the Zakarpattia region. He dedicated 7 years of his life to the railway, working as a fourth-class shooter in the Lviv squad of the militarized guard (previously in the Mukachevo squad).

On May 4, 2022, Ivan was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Ponzel Ivan Ivanovych was killed while performing his official duties as a result of artillery shelling near Bakhmut, Donetsk region, sustaining gunshot wounds that were incompatible with life.

Colleagues remember him as a reliable friend and responsible worker who was always ready to help. Outside of work, Ivan took care of his family, built a home, and had many plans for the future.

He is survived by his wife and three minor children. His parents are left without their loving son.

The team of the Lviv squad of the militarized guard of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" deeply mourns this irreparable loss. We will forever cherish the memory of his sacrifice. Eternal memory and honor to our colleague and hero!
