Larisa HLUBOKA
Larisa was born and lived in Lyman. She graduated from the local school No. 4 and later from the Artemivsk Railway Transport Technical School. She dedicated her entire life to the railway, where in her last years she worked as a senior inspector in the mobilization sector of the "Special Department" at the regional branch of "Donetsk Railway" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia." She raised her children and took care of her family. She is remembered as a good friend, a caring colleague, and a communicative and positive person.
In the spring of 2022, Russian occupiers destroyed her private house with shelling. She moved to a three-story residential building, which also suffered damage, but the basement remained intact.
On August 17, 2022, while in the city of Lyman in the Donetsk region, which was at that time occupied by the Russian Federation, Larisa became a victim of artillery shelling. As she was exiting the shelter, a shell exploded near the basement. The blast wave threw her back, resulting in a penetrating gunshot shrapnel wound to her chest with damage to her left lung. That day marked the end of her life.
Larisa Hluboka is survived by her daughter Liubov, son Hennadiy, and grandchildren — Maria and Artem.
The team of the "Special Department" at the regional branch of "Donetsk Railway" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" deeply mourns the irreparable loss of Larisa Petrivna. Eternal memory and respect to our colleague!
