Leonid Tulchevskyi
Leonid was born in the village of Ryadove in the Kirovohrad region. He dedicated his life to the railway, working for 30 years since 1992. He progressed from a station worker to a foreman for the maintenance and repair of tracks in the Pyatykhatska track distance. He was very passionate about technology.
On February 14, 2023, Leonid was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine, serving as a gunner in a machine gun platoon.
48-year-old soldier Leonid Tulchevskyi, with the call sign "Taxi Driver," tragically died on January 22, 2024, as a result of a car accident near the village of Vyshneve in the Dnipropetrovsk region while performing his official duties. In this horrific accident, two of his comrades also lost their lives.
His wife Iryna recalls that her husband loved life, was a bright and joyful person, and had many friends. He adored his daughter Hanna and did not live to see the anniversary of his grandson, who was 11 months old at the time of his death. (His son-in-law Oleksandr is also fighting at the front).
For his service and civic stance, Leonid was awarded the Order of Honor of the 1st degree and the title of "People's Hero of Ukraine."
Leonid is survived by his wife Iryna, daughter, and grandson.
