Leonid Zhdaniuk
Leonid was born in the village of Novodmytrivka, Kharkiv region. He graduated from Mykolaiv College of Transport Infrastructure. Since 2008, he worked on the railway in the Melitopol track distance, rising to the position of a freed foreman for current maintenance and repair of tracks and artificial structures.
On November 8, 2022, Leonid took up arms to defend his homeland, serving as a driver in a grenade launcher unit. In November 2022, he was injured.
41-year-old soldier Leonid Zhdaniuk died on February 21, 2023, during an artillery shelling near the city of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region. Since February 2023, he was considered missing in action, and confirmation of his death was received in April 2024.
He was awarded the "Golden Cross" and the "For Injury" medal.
Leonid is survived by his wife Shakselim, daughter Victoria, and son Maxim.
