Maksym TOMENKO
Maksym was born on June 5, 1995, in the urban-type settlement of Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi in the Kharkiv region. In 2015, he joined the railway family, working for 7 years as an assistant locomotive driver at the "Kupiansk Locomotive Depot." Friends and colleagues remember him as a reliable friend and responsible worker who was always ready to help.
Since 2021, he served in the military under contract and later joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as a senior rifleman in the 3rd assault section of the 3rd assault platoon of the 1st assault company.
Maksym was killed on May 8, 2022, while defending the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine during a combat mission in the Donetsk region. He was 26 years old. He participated in combat operations in the settlements of Anadol, Pavlika, and Yegorivka.
Posthumously, he was awarded the President's medal "For Military Service to Ukraine."
