Mykhailo Hlushko
Mykhailo was born in the village of Kolomak in the Kharkiv region. He dedicated his entire working life, which spanned 34 years, to the railway, working at the Locomotive Depot in Poltava. From 2007 until his mobilization, he held the position of electric locomotive driver.
His colleagues remembered him as a kind and positive person, a highly skilled specialist devoted to his work, always ready to help.
On September 8, 2022, Mykhailo took up arms to defend his homeland. He was a brave warrior, a caring father, and a loyal comrade. His spirit was filled with the fire of the struggle for freedom, and his eyes held the dream of a peaceful sky for future generations.
Mykhailo Ivanovych Hlushko, electric locomotive driver, was killed on December 26, 2023, while carrying out a combat mission in the Donetsk direction, defending the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
By the decree of the President of Ukraine No. 238 dated April 23, 2024, for his personal courage and selfless fulfillment of military duty, Mykhailo Hlushko was posthumously awarded the Order of "For Courage" of the III degree.
Mykhailo is survived by his mother and daughter.
