Mykhailo Mandziak
Mykhailo lived in Stryi, where he studied at school No. 4. He went to war with combat experience from participating in the ATO. Immediately as part of the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Daniel, he engaged in fierce battles with the enemy. On the front lines, the shooter of the anti-aircraft missile artillery division, Mykhailo Mandziak, bravely and selflessly fought against the occupiers for every meter of his native land.
42-year-old Mykhailo Mandziak was killed on June 21, 2022, as a result of a massive enemy artillery shelling near the village of Novoiivankivka in the Luhansk region.
Posthumously, he was awarded the Order of "For Courage" of the III degree. The railway soldier was buried at the Alley of Glory in his hometown of Stryi.
Mykhailo is survived by his mother.
The railway collective bows its head in honor of the heroism of their colleague. A veteran of the ATO who unhesitatingly returned to the front, he became a shooter in the 24th Mechanized Brigade and fell in Luhansk from intense artillery fire. Mykhailo's selflessness in fierce battles, confirmed by the Order of "For Courage," will be remembered as an eternal example for all Ukrainians. Glory to the Hero!
