Mykola HABA
Mykola Haba worked as a senior electromechanic at the traction substation in Radivyliv, part of the Rivne Electric Supply District. His colleagues knew him as a responsible and skilled worker, and overall, he was a bright and fair person, a reliable colleague, a good son and husband, and a loving father. Outside of work, Mykola served as a deputy in the Brody City Council.
He was a veteran of the Anti-Terrorist Operation, and with the onset of the full-scale invasion, he returned to the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, joining the legendary 80th Air Assault Brigade. He served as the commander of a platoon of strike unmanned aerial vehicles, delivering precise strikes against the enemy.
39-year-old Senior Lieutenant Mykola Ivanovych Haba, commander of the UAV strike platoon, was killed on February 8, 2024, during a fierce battle with the enemy near the settlement of Klishchiivka in the Bakhmut district of Donetsk region, sustaining fatal injuries.
For his brave and skillful service, Mykola Haba was awarded numerous honors, including the Order of Courage III degree (June 2022). He was posthumously awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky III degree.
