Mykola Hranchar
Mykola was born in the city of Artsyz, Odesa region. He began his journey in the railway sector in 2017, working as a 4th category trackman at the Kotlabukh station of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi railway distance. Over five years of work, Mykola established himself as a responsible and disciplined employee, earning the respect of his colleagues. He was being considered for promotion to foreman and trackmaster.
In 2021, he got married and dreamed of a full family life, but on the second day of the full-scale invasion, February 25, 2022, Mykola joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Mykola Petrovych Hranchar was killed on May 6, 2023, defending the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine while carrying out a combat mission in Donetsk region.
Mykola is survived by his wife, Maryna, and three minor children: sons Viktor and Mykola, and daughter Tetiana.
The team of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi railway distance of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" respectfully honors the memory of Mykola Hranchar. Mykola's heroism for the future of his children will forever remain in our hearts. Eternal glory!
