Mykola IGNATYEV

Mykola was born in Mykolaiv, where he lived with his parents. He was a bright and decent person who left a deep mark in the hearts of those who knew him.

Since 2019, Mykola worked as a train assembler at the Mykolaiv station of the "Odesa Combined Directorate of Railway Transportation" regional branch of "Odesa Railway." He was a true professional—disciplined, hardworking, and responsible. His colleagues could always rely on him.

Mykola was not a military man, but when the enemy came to his homeland, he could not stand aside. He took up arms to defend Ukraine, fighting for its future and independence.

Unfortunately, on April 12, 2024, while carrying out a combat mission, Mykola was killed in the Donetsk region near the village of Ocheretyne. We lost not just a colleague, but a hero. He gave his life defending each of us. His courage and sacrifice will forever remain in our hearts.

The team of the Odesa Combined Directorate of Railway Transportation expresses its sincere sorrow over the loss of our colleague and hero. We share the pain of this irreparable loss with his parents and loved ones. Eternal honor to his courage and sacrifice. Eternal memory to the hero!
