Mykola VENHRENIUK
Mykola was born in the village of Lisky in Prykarpattia. He worked as a passenger train conductor at the passenger car depot in Chernivtsi.
On February 24, 2022, he volunteered to join the National Guard of Ukraine, where he served as a shooter in the 1st platoon of the 15th separate regiment.
49-year-old senior soldier Mykola Venhreniuk (call sign "Steward") was killed on March 1, 2023, while performing a combat mission due to a mortar shelling near the village of Kuzmine in Luhansk region. He was just short of reaching his 50th birthday.
Posthumously, Mykola was awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.
Mykola is survived by his wife Natalia.
The team at the passenger car depot in Chernivtsi of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" mourns the heroic death of Mykola Vengrenyuk. His dedication and bravery, recognized with the Order of Courage, will forever remain in our memory.
