Myroslav SMULCHENKO
Miroslav was born in the city of Slavutych in the Kyiv region but lived in Sloviansk, Donetsk Oblast. He worked as a train dispatcher of the 4th category at the "Station Operations Service" of the regional branch "Donetsk Railway."
Miroslav served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine as a rifleman.
The 30-year-old Miroslav Smulchenko died on September 23, 2022, while performing his military duty in the area of the city of Lyman, Donetsk Oblast, sustaining injuries that were incompatible with life.
Colleagues describe him as an initiative-driven and hardworking employee who approached his work responsibly and constantly sought to improve his professional skills.
In 2023, he was posthumously awarded the medal "For Military Service to Ukraine."
Miroslav is survived by his wife, daughter, and elderly parents.
The team of Donetsk Railway of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" honors the memory of their young colleague. The train dispatcher, who was an initiative-driven and responsible worker, died as a rifleman. His courage, recognized with a state award, and dedication to his homeland serve as an enduring example of heroism for the railway youth. Glory to the Hero!
