Oleg BLOKHA

Oleg worked as a sixth-grade excavator operator in the transport division at the Kharkiv railway station. Colleagues say he was a very open and energetic person, hardworking, a good friend, always ready to help others. Oleg loved his children dearly and prepared treats for them after every shift. He had no plans to retire, as he wanted to be useful to his large family.

58-year-old Oleg Blokha was killed on April 30, 2022, in the village of Kochubeivka in the Kharkiv region. He was hit by shelling and died from shrapnel wounds when he emerged from the cellar to lead a cow into the barn. His family had to bury him in the garden, as constant shelling was taking place in the area.

Oleg is survived by his common-law wife and three children.
