Oleg was born in the village of Zhurbintsi in the Vinnytsia region and lived in the city of Kozyatyn. In 1994, he graduated from the Kozyatyn Vocational Technical School, training as an assistant locomotive driver for diesel and electric locomotives. That same year, he joined the railway as a trackman in the Kozyatyn track distance. Later, after completing the Kyiv Technical School, he became a foreman and worked as a track foreman. After working abroad, he returned to the Kozyatyn track distance as a 4th-grade trackman.

On April 20, 2022, Oleg joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as a radio telephone operator in the mortar battery command unit. Colleagues, friends, and comrades remember him as a loyal companion, a skilled specialist, a true Ukrainian, and a patriot who was always ready to lend a helping hand.

The 46-year-old soldier Oleg Yasinskyi was killed on June 13, 2022, near the village of Mazanivka in the Sloviansk district of the Donetsk region. He was caught in an artillery shelling, sustained multiple shrapnel and blast injuries, and died during evacuation.

The defender was posthumously awarded the Order of "For Courage" III class. The Kozyatyn City Council awarded Oleg the distinction "For Heroism and Patriotism" and the title of Honorary Citizen of the city of Kozyatyn. In his honor, a street previously known as Hospital Lane was renamed, and a memorial plaque was installed on the administrative building of the track distance.

Oleg is survived by his wife, two daughters, a granddaughter, parents, and a brother.

The team of the Kozyatyn track distance of the regional branch "South-Western Railway" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" bids farewell to their colleague with deep sorrow. His dedication, patriotism, and readiness to help, recognized by high state and municipal awards, are an eternal symbol of Kozyatyn. Eternal memory to the Honorary Citizen!
