Oleksandr BORYSENKO
Oleksandr was born in the city of Shchors, Chernihiv region. In 2013, he began working for the railway and dedicated 9 years of his life to it, serving as an electrical technician for the repair of overhead power lines in the Konotop electrical supply division.
Colleagues remembered him as a reserved, disciplined, and responsible worker who always demonstrated sound initiative and was capable of solving complex tasks independently. Friends knew him as kind-hearted and balanced, always ready to lend a helping hand. Oleksandr was interested in history and scientific writings. He dreamed of renovating his home and starting his own family.
From the first day of the full-scale invasion (February 24, 2022), Oleksandr joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine, serving as a squad commander in a rifle battalion and earning the respect of his comrades.
Oleksandr was killed on June 12, 2023, while defending the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine during a mortar shelling in the vicinity of the village of Storozhove in the Volnovakha district of Donetsk region. The injuries he sustained were incompatible with life.
The defender was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage III degree.
Oleksandr is survived by his mother and brother.
The team at the Konotop electrical supply division of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" honors Oleksandr's memory with dignity and profound sorrow. His perseverance, sound initiative, and heroism will live on in our hearts forever. Eternal Glory!
