Oleksandr HORBACH
Oleksandr Horbach was born in the city of Vorozhba in the Sumy region. He worked for 7 years on the railway, serving as a 4th category repair mechanic at the Chernihiv motor vehicle depot.
Since 2014, Oleksandr was a participant in the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO). He did not stand aside after the full-scale invasion. On the very first day of the war, February 24, 2022, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
To his friends and colleagues, Oleksandr was remembered for his strong spirit, fairness, determination, kindness, and sociability. He was not afraid of difficulties, did not bow his head before adversities, and was always ready to help others. Colleagues respected and valued Oleksandr as a skilled master of his craft.
The hero had plans for the future, dreamed of raising his son to be a true person, and believed that Ukraine would be strong, prosperous, and independent. For this, he gave the most precious thing—his life.
Grenadier Oleksandr Horbach fought his last battle while carrying out a combat mission on May 7, 2024, near the settlement of Torske in the Donetsk region. He did not live to see his 38th birthday by just 4 days.
Oleksandr is survived by his wife and son.
The Chernihiv motor vehicle depot received the news of the death of their colleague, Oleksandr Horbach, with great sorrow. We express our sincere and deep support to his wife and son.
