Oleksandr IVANOV
Oleksandr was born and lived in Izium. He graduated from the Kharkiv Automobile Road Institute. He worked as a repairman in the mechanical workshop of the Izium railway section. He dedicated almost 20 years of his life to the railway.
Sixty-year-old Oleksandr Ivanov was killed on May 5, 2022, in the city of Izium, Kharkiv region. That day, a column of enemy military equipment was moving through the city, and Oleksandr was shot by the occupiers from military vehicles right in the middle of the street, like a living target.
Colleagues and friends say he was a kind, polite, compassionate, and cheerful person with a great sense of humor, as well as a diligent, responsible, and fair worker. His wife, Nadiia, recalls: “He was a loving husband and father and simply a good person who never refused to help anyone.”
Oleksandr Yuriyovych is survived by his wife and children.
The team of the Izium railway section of the regional branch “Donetsk Railway” of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” mourns this terrible loss. This responsible repairman, with 20 years of experience and a cheerful personality, was cynically shot by the occupiers in his hometown. Eternal memory to the innocent victim of aggression.
