Oleksandr Lesyk

Oleksandr dedicated 23 years of his life to the railway. He began his career in the construction department of the Lviv Railway, later working as a senior electromechanic in the emergency recovery brigade in the Sarny signaling and communication division. Colleagues remember him as a calm, balanced, responsible, and compassionate professional.

In the summer of 2023, Oleksandr volunteered to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 108th Separate Mountain Assault Battalion and carried out combat missions in the Kharkiv direction.

49-year-old Senior Soldier Oleksandr Borysovych Lesyk was killed on December 20, 2023, near the village of Synkivka in the Kupiansk region (Kharkiv Oblast), while holding back the enemy's advance. He sustained fatal injuries during a combat mission.

For his personal bravery and selfless actions, Oleksandr Lesyk was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage III degree.

The team of the Sarny signaling and communication division of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" honors Oleksandr Lesyk with deep gratitude and indescribable sorrow. Eternal glory to the Warrior!
