Oleksandr PICHKA
Oleksandr was born on May 5, 1986, in the village of Prystin in the Kharkiv region. He dedicated 15 years of his life to the railway, working as an assistant locomotive driver at the Kupiansk Locomotive Depot.
Colleagues remember him as a reliable friend and a responsible worker. Oleksandr was an excellent family man, a pillar of support for his family, and he enjoyed fishing.
In 2022, Oleksandr joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine, serving as a grenade launcher in the airborne assault troops of the airborne battalion.
The 36-year-old Oleksandr sustained serious injuries on December 31, 2022, while carrying out a combat mission in the vicinity of the settlement of Marinka in the Donetsk region, and on February 24, 2023, his heart stopped.
He was posthumously awarded the medal "For Military Service to Ukraine" by the President.
Oleksandr is survived by his mother and sister.
