Oleksandr SILIVONCHIK
Oleksandr was born in the city of Kovel in Volyn. In 2006, he joined the railway family, becoming a boiler operator at the Kovel Locomotive Depot, where he worked for 17 years.
Colleagues remember him as a disciplined and responsible worker with a great sense of humor, who diligently and effectively fulfilled his duties.
On the second day of the full-scale invasion, February 25, 2022, Oleksandr enlisted in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Even during short leaves, he found time to meet with colleagues, showed interest in work, and shared stories about life on the front lines.
Oleksandr, the boiler operator, was killed on December 24, 2023, defending the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine while carrying out a combat mission in the settlement of Dibrivka, Luhansk region, as a result of enemy artillery shelling.
Oleksandr is survived by his wife and two sons.
The team at the Kovel Locomotive Depot of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" bows its head in deep, sorrowful remembrance of Oleksandr. His courage, dedication, and great sacrifice will forever be our symbol of honor. Eternal memory and respect to the Hero!
