Oleksiy Pidmohylnyiy
Oleksiy was born and lived in the city of Krasnohrad (now Berestyn) in the Kharkiv region. He dedicated 25 years of his life to the railway, working as a 3rd category trackman in the Krasnohrad track section.
To his acquaintances, Oleksiy was remembered as a friendly, decent, sociable, and responsible colleague who was hardworking and always ready to lend a helping hand.
On October 8, 2023, Oleksiy joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine, serving in the mechanized company of a mechanized battalion.
43-year-old Private Oleksiy Pidmohylniy was killed on December 14, 2023, in the vicinity of the village of Ocheretyne in the Donetsk region.
Oleksiy is survived by his mother and daughter.
The team at the Krasnohrad track section of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" bows its head in deep sorrow before Oleksiy Pidmohylnyi. His courage, camaraderie, and great sacrifice will forever be our symbol of resilience. May the memory of the Hero live on eternally!
