Oleksiy Reznychenko
Oleksiy was born in the town of Brylivka, Kherson region. He worked in the railway industry since 2005. From October 2011, he held the position of a sixth-grade operator of railway construction machinery at the Kyiv Center for Track Work Mechanization.
At the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Oleksiy interrupted his vacation in Poland, returned to Kyiv, and by March 1, he selflessly helped evacuate track machinery to Ternopil region. On April 20, the railway worker voluntarily took up arms to defend Ukraine. While in active combat zones, he never complained; on the contrary, he tried to support everyone around him.
40-year-old Oleksiy Reznychenko was killed on September 20, 2022, while performing a combat mission in the Donetsk region.
Colleagues remember Oleksiy as brave, courageous, and always ready to help. The head of the trade union organization, Yevhen Moskalenko, noted: “Thanks to people like Oleksiy, we wake up, breathe, and continue to live.”
“The best son, father, beloved husband, friend, colleague, comrade - forever in our hearts.”
The team at the Kyiv Center for Track Work Mechanization of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" honors the memory of their colleague. The operator of railway construction machinery, who interrupted his vacation to evacuate equipment and then voluntarily went to the front, fell as a Hero. His selflessness, life-affirming spirit, and readiness to always support others will forever remain in the memory of the railway family. Eternal glory!
