Roman Dibrivka
42-year-old soldier Roman Dibrivka, commander of the 3rd mechanized platoon, was killed on October 15, 2023, near the village of Synkivka in the Kupiansk district of Kharkiv region, sustaining injuries incompatible with life while carrying out a combat mission.
Roman was born in the city of Smila in the Cherkasy region. After obtaining a degree as a construction technician, he dedicated nearly 20 years of his life to the railway. Since April 2004, he worked at the Shevchenkivske Construction and Installation Operational Management No. 5 in positions as a concrete worker and construction and installation foreman.
Colleagues remember Roman as a caring, sensitive, cheerful, and kind person who helped others in any circumstances. He was a responsible foreman and always said, "EVERYTHING WILL BE FINE, WE WILL SOLVE EVERYTHING." Family was always his top priority; he dreamed of a large family and cherished his beloved wife. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing.
With the onset of the full-scale invasion, Roman joined the local Territorial Defense Forces, and on July 8, 2023, he volunteered for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as a commander of a combat vehicle, defending the borders of Sumy and Kharkiv regions, and fought in the Bakhmut and Kupiansk directions.

Roman Dibrivka was posthumously awarded the "Defender of Ukraine" medal and the Order of "For Courage" III degree. He was buried in the village of Velyka Yablunivka.
The fallen defender is survived by his wife, parents, and brother.
