Roman HOLUB
Roman Holub was born in the village of Khalymonove in the Chernihiv region. In 2008, he joined the railway family as an electromechanic in the second group of the production unit "Konotop Signal and Communication Distance." He worked for 15 years on the railway.
Colleagues remember Roman as a responsible, reliable, and professional employee. After becoming a team leader, he was attentive to the problems of his subordinates and always had a sense of humor.
From the first day of the full-scale invasion, on February 24, 2022, Roman joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the ground forces, delivering devastating blows to the occupiers. He dreamed of spending as much time as possible with his elderly mother and children after the war. Another dream was to return to his hobby—fishing—but the war shattered his plans and happy future.
Roman Holub passed away on March 27, 2024, at the I.I. Mechnikov Dnipropetrovsk Regional Clinical Hospital due to injuries sustained in battle on March 25, 2024, in the Siversky direction.
Roman is survived by his mother, sister, brother, three daughters, and son.
The team of the Konotop Signal and Communication Distance expresses condolences to the mother, sister, brother, daughters, and son of Roman Holub. We will remember his reliability, sense of humor, and courage displayed in defending his homeland. Glory to the Hero!
