Rostislav Pshetyuk
Rostislav Pshetyuk was born in the village of Palatky in the Kharkiv region and lived in the city of Krasnohrad. He graduated from the Kharkiv College of Transport Technologies with a degree in "Installation, maintenance, and repair of automated traffic control systems in railway transport." Before the war, he worked for nearly six years at Ukrzaliznytsia. He was an electrician specializing in the repair and maintenance of signaling, centralization, and blocking devices of the 5th category in workshop No. 7 of the signaling, centralization, and blocking section of Krasnohrad-Shyrokyi in the Luhansk signaling and communication distance of the Southern Railway.
On October 19, 2020, Rostyslav was drafted into military service. With the onset of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, he served in the National Guard of Ukraine. He was a gunner in the 3rd section of the 1st anti-aircraft artillery platoon of the 1st anti-aircraft artillery battery of the anti-aircraft missile-artillery division.
24-year-old senior soldier Rostislav Pshetyuk died on June 17, 2024, from injuries sustained in the vicinity of the village of Spirne in the Donetsk region.
To his loved ones, Rostislav will be remembered as honest, open, compassionate, cheerful, responsible, and hardworking. His colleagues respected and valued him. They knew him as an experienced worker and a good friend, always ready to lend a helping hand.
Rostislav is survived by his mother.
