Ruslan NOVAKOVSKYI
Ruslan was born and lived in the town of Pomichna in the Kirovohrad region. He came from a large family, with 5 brothers and 2 sisters besides himself.
In 2018, Ruslan began working on the railway as a 3rd class trackman in the Pomichna track distance.
In 2020, Ruslan signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the same unit with his biological brother and his brother-in-law. Ruslan was a combat vehicle commander and the commander of the 3rd mechanized section. His wife, Inna, shared that he was kind and caring, loved playing football, and practiced boxing, which is how he got his call sign in the Armed Forces, "KACHOK."
Junior Sergeant Ruslan Novakovskyi died on May 12, 2022, from injuries sustained while performing a combat mission in the village of Toshkivka in the Luhansk region. He was just 29 years old...
Ruslan was remembered by colleagues and friends as friendly, always smiling, polite, calm, and helpful. The family often went fishing, where Ruslan showcased his professionalism both in catching fish and in cooking.
Ruslan is survived by his wife and son.
The team of the Pomichna track distance of the regional branch "Odesa Railway" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" honors the memory of their junior sergeant. This kind trackman, athlete, and BMP commander who served alongside family members bravely fell in Luhansk. His helpfulness at work and courage on the front lines remain an eternal example!
