Serhiy KOPOTILOV

Serhiy lived in the town of Pidvolochysk. He worked as a train dispatcher at the Pidvolochysk station in the Ternopil Directorate. He was a man of two talents: he approached his work diligently and responsibly, and during his time off, he was an actor and a passionate supporter of cinema and theater. Sergiy was also a participant in the Granite Revolution, the Revolution of Dignity, and a shooter in the U.N.S.O.

In the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Sergiy served as a senior soldier in the 55th Separate Artillery Brigade "Zaporizka Sich."

In January 2024, a memorial plaque was unveiled in his honor at the railway station in Pidvolochysk.

50-year-old senior soldier Serhiy Kopotilov was killed on January 16, 2023, while performing a combat mission near the village of Krasna Hora in Donetsk Oblast.

The fallen defender is survived by his wife and two children. Unfortunately, Sergiy did not have the chance to see his granddaughter, who was born after his death.

The team of the Ternopil Directorate of Railway Transportation of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" mourns and honors the memory of Sergiy Kopotilov with deep sorrow and respect. His multifaceted nature and great sacrifice are our eternal pain. Eternal and bright memory to the defender!
