Serhiy Kucheryavykh
Serhiy Kucheryavykh was born in Kharkiv. He worked as a driver at the Kharkiv wagon depot of Ukrzaliznytsia. Colleagues describe him as a responsible and reliable person dedicated to his work. "In addition to his own duties, Serhiy never shied away from extra responsibilities, always ready to help other drivers when it came to repairing vehicles. He shared invaluable work experience with new colleagues," say his coworkers.
The head of the passenger direction, Oleksandr Pertzovsky, noted: "He lived and worked in Kharkiv, never leaving the city even in the toughest times, as the railway work never stopped: not under shelling, not during blackouts. All of this relies on railway workers like him." His family remembers him as the best father and husband in the world.
The life of 49-year-old Serhiy Kucheryavykh was taken on April 6, 2024, by an enemy cluster munition that struck Kharkiv. The explosion occurred near his home on his day off. A fragment hit him in the carotid artery. As a result of that attack, seven people lost their lives.
Serhiy is survived by his wife Iryna, daughter Anastasia, and other relatives.
The team at the Kharkiv wagon depot and the entire railway family extend their deepest condolences to his wife Iryna, daughter Anastasia, and all of Serhiy Kucheryavykh's family on his tragic passing.
