Svyatoslav TYMOSHCHUK
Svyatoslav was born and lived in Uzhhorod. After training as a carpenter, he dedicated over 18 years to the railway. He worked at the Uzhhorod station (Lviv Railway) as a carpenter, foreman, and master, and was an active member of the trade union committee.
In December 2022, Svyatoslav voluntarily joined the ranks of defenders, serving as a senior shooter-operator in a mechanized unit. In January 2023, he was wounded near Bakhmut, but returned to service in February. He fought for independence, freedom, and peace until his last breath.
44-year-old Svyatoslav Tymoshchuk was killed on May 1, 2023, during an assault in the vicinity of the settlement of New York in the Donetsk region.
For his heroism, Svyatoslav Tymoshchuk was posthumously awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine, received an honorary certificate as "Honored Citizen of Uzhhorod," and the "Cross of the Hero" order.
Colleagues remember Svyatoslav as a true professional, an exceptionally sincere, kind, and compassionate worker who never refused to help. They emphasize his bravery, honesty, and immense kind heart.
Svyatoslav is survived by his wife, two sons, a daughter, and elderly parents.
