28.03.1982 – 22.04.2022

Valentyn was born in the city of Pyatykhatky, Dnipropetrovsk region. He graduated from the Dnipropetrovsk Railway Lyceum. He dedicated 8 years to working on the railway, serving as a car inspector and repairman at the Baturynska carriage depot, and later at the Kryvyi Rih regional department for organizing station operations at the Riadova station.

Valentyn was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine on April 8, 2022. Unfortunately, he died in his first battle on April 22, 2022. For a long time, he was considered missing in action. His family searched for his remains for a long time and eventually found them, confirming his death through DNA.

Colleagues remember him as a caring, very approachable, and cheerful person, as well as a responsible and diligent worker. According to Yuriy Horianyi, Valentyn "did not shy away from dirty work," eagerly engaging in the repair of complex components.

His wife Natalia shared that Valentyn was the best father and husband. He believed that love is about actions: he was a support, a pillar, and a help to many. His daughter was his little "princess," for whom he invented fantastic tales. His son was his complete copy, whom he taught the ways of manhood: to repair and fix everything. The family loved spending time together in nature or at home, where "laughter echoed everywhere."

In 2022, Valentyn went to defend what he loved most, without waiting for the enemy to come to his home.

We express our heartfelt condolences to Valentyn's family and loved ones. He is survived by his wife Natalia and two children (a son and a younger daughter).

The team at the Kryvyi Rih regional department deeply mourns the loss of their colleague. This railway enthusiast, known for his sensitivity and resourcefulness, consciously took up arms to secure the future of his descendants. His bravery on the battlefield, where he laid down his life, is an example of the highest civic duty. Our condolences to all his family and friends. Honor to the Warrior.
