Viktor Rybkin
Viktor was born in the Crimean village of Pryvitne. In September 1985, he was sent to serve in Afghanistan. He was awarded the medal "For Courage" and the Order of the Red Star. After returning to civilian life, he worked in construction. In 1998, he moved with his family to the city of Pomichna in the Kirovohrad region, where he got a job as an assistant driver at the Pomichna locomotive depot.
After the announcement of general mobilization, without waiting for a call from the military enlistment office, Viktor voluntarily reported to the TCC. He was mobilized on February 27, 2022. He served in the 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Knights of the Winter Campaign, where he was a senior gunner in the 3rd grenade launcher section of the anti-tank platoon.
55-year-old Senior Soldier Viktor Rybkin was killed on May 8, 2022, in the village of Oleksandrivka in the Kherson region.
Viktor is survived by his wife and two sons.
The team at the Pomichna locomotive depot of the regional branch "Odesa Railway" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" honors the memory of their colleague. This assistant driver was a veteran of combat operations in Afghanistan and voluntarily joined the 28th Mechanized Brigade to defend Ukraine, where he heroically fell in Kherson. His courage and unwavering dedication to military duty serve as a true example for all.
