Vitaliy Mykhailovskyi
Vitaliy was born in Vinnytsia and lived in the village of Koziatyn in the Vinnytsia region. He graduated from the Koziatyn Interregional Higher Vocational School of Railway Transport, where he obtained qualifications as a computer typing operator, a locksmith for rolling stock repair, and an assistant locomotive driver.
In December 2019, he began working as a 4th category locksmith for rolling stock repair at the Koziatyn repair wagon depot of the regional branch "South-Western Railway."
On September 6, 2021, Vitaliy signed a contract to serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as part of the 59th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade named after Yakiv Handziuk, where he was a gunner in the anti-tank artillery platoon.
Three-year soldier Vitaliy Mykhailovskyi was killed on May 2, 2022, while performing a combat mission near the village of Shevchenko in the Volnovakha district of Donetsk region from multiple shrapnel wounds.
Colleagues describe Vitaliy as very sincere, caring, cheerful, optimistic, and never afraid of difficulties. He had organizational skills, always helped others, and was a loyal friend and the best father to his only daughter.
He was awarded the Order of "For Courage" of the III degree and posthumously received the title of Honorary Citizen of the city of Koziatyn.
Vitaliy is survived by a little daughter.
The team at the Koziatyn repair wagon depot of the regional branch "South-Western Railway" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" mourns the loss of their colleague. This cheerful locksmith and versatile specialist consciously chose the path of a warrior by signing a contract. His brave resistance to the enemy in Donetsk and his fatherly love for his daughter will remain unforgettable. Glory to the Hero, awarded the Order of "For Courage."
