Vitaliy TARANENKO
Vitaliy was born in the village of Moshoryne in the Kirovohrad region. He graduated from the Dnipro College of Automation and Telemechanics. In 2018, he began working for the Odesa Railway as a trackman in the Znamianka track division. Colleagues and friends remember him as a responsible, decent, honest, open, and fair man who was respected and held in high regard.
On December 15, 2022, Vitaliy joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as a shooter-paramedic in the 2nd Air Assault Platoon. He was a loving husband to his wife Tetiana, a good father to his two daughters—Olha and Anna—and a caring son.
45-year-old Vitaliy Taranenko was killed while performing a combat mission on January 23, 2023, in the city of Marinka, Donetsk region. He was forever 45.
The team at the Znamianka track division of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" honors the memory of Vitaliy Taranenko with deep sorrow and respect. His courage and fatherly love are an eternal example. May his memory shine bright for the defender!
