Vitaliy Tovstukha
Vitaliy was born in the village of Nyzhnya Syrovatka in the Sumy region. In 2011, he joined the railway family, becoming a 3rd class signalman at the "Sumy Track Division" of the regional branch "Southern Railway." He dedicated 14 years to the railway.
Colleagues remember him as a passionate, disciplined, and responsible worker with a great sense of humor. He quickly earned the respect of older, more experienced employees.
After the full-scale invasion, on April 13, 2022, Vitaliy joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the mechanized troops, where he was an example of courage and dedication for his comrades. He bravely defended his homeland and gave a worthy response to the occupiers. Even during short leaves, he found time to meet with his railway friends, asking about work and sharing front-line stories. He dreamed of a happy future for his family and children.
Vitaliy was killed on April 22, 2024, while defending the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine during a combat mission in the Donetsk direction.
Vitaliy is survived by his wife and two children.
The team at the Sumy Track Division and the entire Southern Railway are deeply saddened by the loss of their colleague. We express our heartfelt condolences to his wife and two children.
