Vitaliy Yeromenko
Vitaliy Yeromenko lived in the village of Veselynove in the Mykolaiv region. He worked as a trackman of the 3rd category at the Odessa-Sorting railway station.
In January 2023, he volunteered to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine and served in the repair and recovery battalion.
Vitaliy Yeromenko was killed on May 9, 2024, during shelling near the village of Torske in the Donetsk region while carrying out a combat mission. He was 42 years old.
His loved ones remember Vitaliy as a very kind and tolerant person who treated everyone with respect and never refused to help anyone. He was a true patriot and instilled a sincere love for Ukraine in his son. Vitaliy dreamed of traveling abroad and building a large house for his son and wife with his own hands.
His wife, Natalia Fedorivna, shared that Vitaliy was very kind and sincere, always striving to provide a decent future for his family. He wanted their son to receive higher education abroad: “Vitaliy dreamed of taking me to France for our wedding anniversary – the country of love, but due to the war, we had to postpone the trip. Unfortunately, my husband will never see France… We also planned a bright future for our son Roman together, and he tried to save money for his education in the future.” Roman, their son, speaks of his father: “My dad is a hero, and I dream of being like him.”
Vitaliy is survived by his parents, wife, and son.
The team at the Odessa-Sorting railway station expresses deep condolences to his parents, wife Natalia Fedorivna, and son Roman for their irreparable loss. We mourn our kind, sincere colleague, a true patriot who gave his life defending the future of his family and all of Ukraine.
