Volodymyr KACHALA
Volodymyr was born and raised in a large family. He worked as a track layer in the Lviv railway division. Colleagues remember him as a person filled with "the strength and desire to save the whole world," who was attentive to the needs and problems of those around him.
From the first days of the full-scale invasion, Volodymyr joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In the military, he served as the commander of a grenade launcher section in the fire support platoon of the special forces sniper company of the National Guard.
26-year-old Sergeant Volodymyr Kachala, commander of the grenade launcher section, was killed on December 26, 2023, in the vicinity of the village of Dibrivka in the Sievierodonetsk district of Luhansk region as a result of an enemy airstrike.
The defender was posthumously awarded the Order of "For Courage" III class.
The team of the Lviv railway division of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" bows its head with deep, sorrowful grief and pride before Volodymyr Kachala. His courage, determination, and ultimate sacrifice will forever serve as a beacon of honor and valor. Eternal glory to the hero!
