Volodymyr SOVHAN

Oleksandr was born in the village of Nadiby in the Starosambir district of Lviv region. He graduated from the Lviv College of Transport Infrastructure and began his career in the railway sector in 2018. For seven years, he worked as an assistant locomotive driver at the Lviv-Zakhid locomotive depot.

Colleagues remember him as a disciplined and responsible worker who quickly earned the respect of his team.

In August 2023, Oleksandr joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine, taking up arms to defend his homeland from Russian occupiers.

Soldier Oleksandr was killed on October 23, 2023, bravely fulfilling his military duty in combat near the settlement of Verbove in the Polohy district of the Zaporizhzhia region. For some time, he was considered missing in action but was later declared deceased.

Oleksandr is survived by his parents, wife, and underage child.
