Volodymyr YARYHIN
Volodymyr was born in Kryvyi Rih. He graduated from the Kryvyi Rih Vocational College of the National Aviation University and later enrolled in the Kharkiv Institute of Transport Engineers. In August 2021, he began working at Ukrzaliznytsia as a 3rd class track fitter in the Kryvyi Rih track distance. His father also worked on the railway.
His mother, Valentyna Mykolaivna, shares that Volodymyr was of strong, heroic build, excelled in his studies, and played football and tennis. He was sociable and a jack-of-all-trades, able to repair any equipment.
After witnessing the atrocities of the Russians in Bucha on television, Volodymyr consciously signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine on January 30, 2023, unable to calmly observe the aggression. In June, he was wounded but continued to defend his country.
21-year-old soldier Volodymyr Yaryhin, an operator in the reactive artillery battery control unit, was killed on October 14, 2023, during combat near the village of Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region.
Volodymyr is survived by his father Yurii Volodymyrovych, mother Valentyna Mykolaivna, and two younger brothers.
