Yaroslav MATVIEIEV
Yaroslav was born in the city of Buryn in the Sumy region. In 2017, he joined the railway family, becoming a 4th category track fitter at the Konotop track distance. He dedicated 5 years of his life to the railway.
Colleagues knew him as a passionate, disciplined, and responsible worker, a reliable friend, and an authoritative figure. Yaroslav was the best husband and father, dreaming of a happy future for his family.
On January 13, 2023, Yaroslav enlisted in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, where he served as the commander of a rifle squad.
Yaroslav was killed on March 4, 2023, while defending the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine during a combat mission in the area of Novobakhmutivka in the Pokrovsk district of Donetsk region.
Yaroslav is survived by his wife and daughter.
The team at the Konotop track distance of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" mourns the heroic death of Yaroslav. His courage and dedication to the dream of a happy future will remain in our memory. Eternal glory to the defender!
