Stella Mykolaivna Basenko was born on June 19, 1956, in the charming city of our Ukraine – Odesa. She began her career in the railway sector in February 2005 as a platform controller at Odesa-Glavna railway station. She held positions such as a foreman (dismissed) in the 5th grade railway transport enterprises and was later transferred to the position of storekeeper, which she held until her last day. She worked as a storekeeper in the production unit "Odesa-Glavna Station" of the "Station Company" branch of JSC "Ukrainian Railways." She dedicated over 20 years to her work.

Her life was tragically cut short on April 30, 2025, as a result of a strike by Russian drones during another bombardment of the city of Odesa. On the night of April 30 to May 1, 2025, Stella Mykolaivna was at home with her husband and dog. The attack resulted in a direct hit on their apartment, causing a fire.

Stella Mykolaivna devotedly worked in the team at Odesa-Glavna station, demonstrating exceptional responsibility and principledness. She was always distinguished by her kindness and genuine care for her colleagues and friends. Her professionalism and warmth will leave an unforgettable mark in the hearts of her colleagues. They remember Stella Mykolaivna, or simply Stella, as she preferred to be called, always in good spirits, as befits a resident of Odesa, always clear and to the point, as is customary among railway workers, responsible and disciplined, diligently and qualitatively fulfilling her duties. She was a caring and loving mother, grandmother, and wife. Employees of the production unit "Odesa-Glavna Station" and beyond always speak kindly of her. She was the soul of the team, a person who knew how to support, listen, offer wise advice, and provide comfort in difficult times. Stella Mykolaivna loved fishing and eagerly awaited weekends to go fishing with her husband. She enjoyed catching fish but never considered what to do with it, as she didn’t eat it. She dreamed of moving to a summer house with her husband and engaging in her favorite pastime.

The team of the production unit "Odesa-Glavna Station" deeply mourns the irreparable loss. Eternal memory and honor to our colleague.
